Responsibilities
- Design, code, document, and maintain services for small to large projects.
- Build and integrate Java Spring Boot microservices, REST and JDBC integrations, and event or messaging technologies.
- Develop reusable APIs and simplify complex business processes for business partners.
- Write and maintain unit, system, and functional tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
- Assist with integration, performance, and penetration testing.
- Troubleshoot production issues with the Production Support team.
- Analyze business and system needs and recommend efficient, reusable, secure technology solutions.
- Contribute to team collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a software development role delivering maintainable, quality solutions.
- Experience with modern Java development and the Spring framework.
- Knowledge of HTTP, REST, XML, JSON, JDBC, MS SQL, SQL, OAuth, and MTLS.
- Experience with software development practices including test-driven or behavior-driven development, DevOps, code reviews, design patterns, CI/CD, and SRE.
- Preferred experience building software for financial services, including banking, insurance, or investments.
- Preferred experience with Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy, and Maven.
- Preferred knowledge of Kafka, JMS, GraphQL, Ansible, Camunda, and the ELK Stack.
- Preferred experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and S3 Object Storage.
