Responsibilities
- Define safe task categories, review requirements, and guardrails for autonomous coding agents.
- Design isolated execution environments that limit unnecessary access to secrets and sensitive systems.
- Build workflows that allow selected Linear issues to be implemented, tested, and converted into draft pull requests.
- Create and maintain repository instructions, agent playbooks, ownership metadata, coding guidelines, and documentation.
- Improve monorepo structure, developer workflows, testability, and documentation based on agent performance and reviewer feedback.
- Integrate agentic workflows with Linear, GitHub, CI, testing infrastructure, and developer review processes.
- Create pull-request evidence templates and collaborate with Security, AI/Agents, Developer Platform, Architecture, and product engineering teams.
- Develop benchmarks, quality signals, failure-mode tracking, safety measures, and adoption metrics for AI-generated engineering work.
- Lead the initiative from problem definition through pilot, adoption, measurement, and iteration.
Requirements
- Experience with autonomous coding agents, AI coding platforms, agent orchestration systems, or internal AI developer tooling.
- Practical experience building, deploying, or operating AI-assisted or agentic software development workflows with developers.
- Strong software engineering foundations, ideally in platform engineering, developer experience, infrastructure, tooling, CI/CD, or engineering productivity.
- Ability to lead an ambiguous, first-of-a-kind technical initiative and influence senior engineers without formal authority.
- Deep understanding of GitHub, CI, testing strategies, code review, monorepos, issue tracking, developer environments, and release risk.
- Strong judgment around permissions, secrets, sandboxing, sensitive code paths, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Experience designing benchmarks, quality signals, failure-mode tracking, and adoption metrics.
- Strong written communication for repository instructions, playbooks, pull-request evidence templates, technical proposals, and alignment documents.
- Preferred experience with large TypeScript, Node.js, or JavaScript monorepos.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions, Linear, automated testing infrastructure, preview environments, or internal developer platforms.
- Preferred experience with sandboxing, secrets management, least-privilege access, sensitive code ownership, AI evaluation frameworks, open-source communities, B2B SaaS, workflow automation, integration platforms, AI orchestration, or developer-facing products.
