Responsibilities
- Enable App-centric products in Google Cloud.
- Lead a team of software engineers while making direct technical contributions and providing guidance.
- Guide technical choices and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.
- Own overall design, architecture, and implementation strategies.
- Establish and maintain standards for code quality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product and program managers, engineering leads, and partner teams to define goals and drive the strategic roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
