Base Salary

$113k - $188k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead team-level projects by translating ambiguous guidance into goals, communicating with stakeholders, and delivering technical and non-technical work.
  • Build and maintain reusable React components and shared homepage, header, footer, and customization capabilities.
  • Design and evolve backend services and infrastructure while modernizing legacy systems.
  • Contribute to micro-frontend architecture and cross-cutting Grainger.com initiatives.
  • Improve application observability, reliability, software quality, and engineering processes.
  • Participate in product strategy, prioritization, feature delivery, technical upgrades, and code reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience building software as part of a team.
  • Experience leading projects at the team level.
  • Understanding of micro-frontend architecture principles.
  • Experience with React.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions workflows.
