Responsibilities
- Define customer strategy as a key member of Platform account teams, identify complex opportunities, and accelerate solution adoption.
- Advise C-level executives and technical stakeholders on business transformation, monetization, growth, and Stripe platform solutions.
- Design end-to-end architectures, future roadmaps, and solutions involving deep third-party integrations.
- Lead customer discovery, strategy engagements, executive briefings, presentations, readouts, and solution demonstrations.
- Expand Stripe adoption across existing accounts, global markets, and business units through new capabilities and local payment methods.
- Represent customer insights, trends, and opportunities to Stripe leadership, product, and engineering teams.
- Participate in sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account and territory planning.
- Provide technical expertise during sales engagements and explain Stripe’s capabilities, benefits, and customizations.
- Manage pre-sales projects, proof-of-concept development, and solution feasibility checks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role, such as solution consultant, solutions architect, or sales engineer, for a global software enterprise.
- Executive engagement, relationship-building, group facilitation, and customer meeting leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architecture.
- Excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to learn and apply Stripe Connect, Payments, and Billing capabilities across diverse business models.
- Ability to understand interactions among ERP, CRM, billing, tax, and legacy systems within platform technology ecosystems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills while managing multiple strategic customers and opportunities.
- Preferred experience in payments, technical sales for enterprise-scale platforms, and architecting solutions for platform customers.
- Preferred experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful APIs into web applications.
- Preferred experience designing, building, and deploying complex applications and helping customers adopt cloud software.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations, think strategically and creatively, and collaborate with extended teams.
