Senior Full Stack Engineer, AVP
State StreetResponsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and implement complex software enhancements, applications, frameworks, and solutions.
- Build React frontends and Java backend services for next-generation IMS and CRIMS components.
- Design and develop high-performance, low-latency, highly transactional, concurrent, and event-driven systems.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and engineering teams on sustainable solutions and product architecture.
- Provide technical leadership, code review guidance, advanced troubleshooting, and problem solving for major projects and client implementations.
- Write unit and automation tests, conduct manual testing, and improve test methodologies and frameworks.
- Participate in the CRD scrum process, including standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate cross-team activities and mentor junior staff as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- 13+ years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience in core and enterprise Java.
- Experience with Java Collections API, concurrency, multithreading, JDBC, and web services.
- 8+ years designing and developing highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven software systems.
- 8+ years of cloud-native application development experience on at least one cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- 8+ years of experience with Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and cloud databases.
- Extensive RDBMS experience with Oracle and SQL Server, including complex and high-performing SQL.
- Experience designing high-performance, multi-tier database applications and solving complex business and technical problems.
- Preferred experience with C#, React, and JavaScript UI development.
- Financial trading systems experience is a major plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers.
- Understanding of Agile development methodology and software development practices and principles.
