Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate complex SIP integrations with CCaaS and CPaaS platforms and support future platform integrations.
- Investigate and debug call failures using PCAP analysis, SIP traces, and carrier logs.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise clients after onboarding.
- Translate customer technical feedback and friction points into actionable product improvements.
- Automate routine troubleshooting tasks with basic scripts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Telephony Engineer, VoIP Engineer, or in an equivalent low-latency networking role.
- Deep understanding of SIP, including RFC 3261, and RTP-based voice-quality debugging using PCAPs and tools such as Wireshark or TShark.
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with CPaaS and cloud communication platforms such as Twilio, Plivo, and Telnyx.
- Ability to write or modify basic Python, Bash, or JavaScript scripts.
- Ability to guide premium enterprise clients through complex setups and communicate technical issues clearly.
- Familiarity with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, or other SIP proxies or SIP servers is preferred.
