Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, release, and support Java applications.
- Produce application code following industry best practices, coding standards, and common patterns.
- Gather requirements, ask clarifying questions, and propose solutions.
- Write unit and API tests and support the CI/CD team.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with product development teams to plan new features in an agile model.
- Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Mentor and train junior associates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
- At least 6 years of overall IT experience.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience as a Java developer.
- At least 4 years of experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and ORM.
- At least 2 years of experience with middleware or service orchestration.
- Experience with performance optimization and performance testing or monitoring tools.
- Experience with industry patterns, coding standards, and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Required technical skills include Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate or Spring JPA, SQL, and Git.
- Preferred experience includes Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ, MongoDB or Cassandra, Azure DevOps, healthcare, and mentoring or training junior associates.
