Responsibilities
- Lead Flex Platform integration on Qualcomm reference and OEM customer hardware.
- Provide technical leadership across OEM program phases from concept through maintenance and coordinate cross-functional Qualcomm teams.
- Perform BSP and driver bring-up, low-level boot and runtime debugging, and vehicle communication and diagnostics integration.
- Integrate Digital Cockpit and ADAS software stacks, analyze end-to-end data flows and latency, and tune system performance.
- Execute system characterization, envelope testing, and stress testing for mixed-criticality workloads and future scalability.
- Drive resolution of critical technical issues, integration regressions, and customer escalations.
- Serve as the primary technical counterpart for OEM engineering executives, architects, and program leads.
- Translate customer roadmaps, architecture, safety, security, and regulatory needs into Qualcomm platform requirements and solutions.
- Mentor cross-functional teams and contribute to customer-engagement and ADAS solution best practices.
- Support design reviews, technical workshops, joint debugging, and on-site integration activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field with 6+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 5+ years or a PhD with 4+ years.
- 15+ years of senior engineering experience in Digital Cockpit, ADAS, or autonomous-driving domains at an OEM, Tier 1, semiconductor company, or relevant technology supplier.
- At least 3 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience working directly with major global OEMs on large-scale mixed-criticality Digital Cockpit or ADAS programs.
- Strong experience with BSP integration, hardware bring-up, performance analysis, KPI management, compute-platform architecture, embedded software stacks, and ADAS sensor integration.
- Experience with SoC, GPU/DSP, accelerators, hypervisors or virtual machines, QNX/Linux/Android, middleware, frameworks, toolchains, and AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive.
- Understanding of vehicle interface processors, CAN integration, automotive safety and security, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and cybersecurity standards.
- Experience with ADAS/AD functions, perception, sensor fusion, planning, and control is desirable.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority in a complex matrix organization.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills; German is strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, customer leadership, mentoring, and executive-engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to customers and Qualcomm sites domestically and internationally.
- Experience at Qualcomm, a major semiconductor vendor, or a Tier 1 integrating high-performance automotive SoCs is preferred.
