Base Salary

$106k - $176k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers’ business drivers and decision-making processes and connect technology solutions to measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to develop customer strategies that drive revenue growth and new business.
  • Provide technical leadership and domain expertise across storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN offerings.
  • Lead evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and interoperability, functional, and performance testing.
  • Create and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospective accounts.
  • Capture customer requirements and translate business needs into innovative storage solutions.
  • Author responses to RFIs and RFPs and contribute to broader RFI, RFQ, and RFP efforts.
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing on whitepapers, web presentations, and alliance materials.
  • Track competitors and market trends to maintain accurate solution positioning and promote technical thought leadership.
  • Promote roadmap and planning exchanges while representing the company’s customer-first values.

Requirements

  • Pre-sales experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications is required.
  • Experience supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing architectures is required.
  • Experience selling to DoD or federal civilian accounts is preferred.
  • Knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN is required.
  • Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and distributed Linux network environments is required.
  • Experience with distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems is required.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers is required.
  • Knowledge of VMware, local area networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking is required.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and structured databases such as SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills are required.
  • Experience targeting new prospects and converting them into clients is required.
  • Experience contributing to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses is required.
