
Lead Software Engineer-Java

- Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and review complex large-scale technology solutions.
- Develop engineering standards and companywide best practices for technology solutions.
- Build and deliver enterprise-grade Java systems for customer account ledger and transaction processing.
- Design and implement scalable streaming, real-time data processing, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Make technical decisions, resolve complex issues, and drive new engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, external industry groups, operations, and business teams.
- Lead projects and teams and provide peer mentorship, including mentoring senior engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience and 5+ years of Java development experience building enterprise-grade, high-availability systems.
- 3+ years of experience designing or implementing low-latency systems, including performance optimization and concurrency.
- Experience with Application Performance Monitoring tools and observability solutions in distributed systems.
- Experience building scalable streaming and real-time data processing platforms using Kafka, Flink, or similar frameworks.
- Experience designing and delivering microservices architectures with hands-on Kubernetes experience.
- Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in the banking domain.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring senior engineering teams.
- Familiarity with domain-driven design and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and SRE practices.
- Knowledge of Oracle DB and strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
