Base Salary
$110k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade backend services.
- Contribute to backend features and services end to end.
- Engineer for scale, resilience, and maintainability.
- Bring strong Python backend craftsmanship.
- Support AI-enabled workflows through strong backend foundations.
- Understand modern AI service integration patterns.
- Improve deployment and operational reliability.
- Build reliable cloud-native systems.
- Build secure services by default.
- Manage artifacts and dependencies responsibly.
- Collaborate across boundaries with various engineering teams.
- Demonstrate strong engineering ownership.
- Act with purpose to advance healthcare intelligence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with backend services.
- Experience in design, development, deployment, and operation of backend services.
- Strong Python backend engineering experience, including async programming.
- Familiarity with modern Python tooling such as uv, ruff, and ty.
- Understanding of production operations, including observability and reliability.
- Experience in secure service design and handling dependencies.
- Experience with LLM APIs like OpenAI or Azure OpenAI.
- Exposure to AI frameworks or interoperability protocols.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms like Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Understanding of responsible artifact and dependency management.
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
