Responsibilities
- Ship AI features into Collibra’s live product for enterprise and government customers.
- Build, instrument, and evaluate AI/ML models and treat silent no-output failures as defects.
- Design agent loops with tool cycles, state across steps, human-in-the-loop interrupts, checkpointing, and resumption.
- Develop retrieval and RAG systems using hybrid semantic and keyword search with attention to rank fusion and precision/recall tradeoffs.
- Build and operate stateless services at real scale with observability and concurrent request handling.
- Help evolve Collibra’s AI platform and mentor other engineers.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, MLOps Engineers, and teams across Collibra to take AI products from prototype to production.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience building and running production systems.
- At least 3 years applying data science or machine learning in production, including LLM applications, RAG, NLP, or recommendation engines.
- Hands-on experience with agent-loop frameworks such as LangGraph and tool-calling standards such as MCP.
- Experience with agent harness architecture, sandboxed code execution, tool permissioning, autonomous-action orchestration, and agent evaluation frameworks.
- Experience building stateless, multi-replica services that support concurrent requests without sticky sessions.
- Strong Python typing and validation skills, including Pydantic v2, and familiarity with production AI tooling such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Comfort with SQL and relational databases, plus familiarity with time-series, graph, or vector databases.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, product, and technical judgment skills.
