Base Salary
$208k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of financing products and features from architecture through production launch.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and frameworks for loan lifecycle management, risk calculations, and real-time position tracking.
- Improve developer tooling, testing infrastructure, monitoring, system resilience, and operational reliability.
- Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and conduct technical design reviews that improve code quality and safe delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend software engineering experience with production ownership of high-reliability or financial services.
- Experience designing, building, and scaling service-oriented architectures using Go, Java, or a comparable backend language.
- Experience operating distributed systems where correctness, availability, and data integrity are critical.
- Ability to mentor engineers, lead technical design reviews, and raise code quality across a team.
- Familiarity with relational data stores, gRPC, Protobuf, and observability tooling in a cloud-native environment.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
