Senior Solutions Engineer - West

Responsibilities
- Drive technical discovery, architecture design, and proof-of-concept implementation during the pre-sales lifecycle.
- Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to develop technical value propositions.
- Deliver demonstrations, workshops, and proposals for C-level and technical stakeholders.
- Build customer trust, identify technical champions, and act as a strategic technical advisor.
- Relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams and influence the product roadmap.
- Lead cross-regional technical initiatives and improve SE tools, processes, and frameworks for global scalability.
- Mentor junior team members and share technical best practices across the SE team.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the LaunchDarkly platform, integrations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Respond to RFPs and manage technical environments supporting enterprise sales motions.
- Translate complex client requirements into scalable and technically sound solutions.
- Represent LaunchDarkly at industry events and customer engagements, traveling as needed.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or a customer-facing systems architecture role.
- Experience with the SDLC, cloud architecture, or DevOps.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and document proofs of concept and build technical and deal champions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including presenting thought leadership to the broader industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with PII, PCI, HIPAA, security, or compliance frameworks is a bonus.
- Ability to meet the requirement for 50% travel.

- Target base pay ranges from $182,600 to $295,350 annually depending on geographic zone.
