Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and architecture of custom software solutions and lead teams through design and delivery.
- Design and implement cross-domain software-defined vehicle application service modules for vehicle state management, feature delivery, remote services, and in-vehicle AI hosting.
- Define application architectures covering microservice decomposition, service meshes, API governance, and lifecycle management.
- Lead AUTOSAR Adaptive development involving ara::com, ara::exec, ara::diag, UDS, service providers and consumers, process lifecycle management, and deployment configuration.
- Integrate SDV application software with Vehicle OS platforms, SOAFEE, Eclipse SDV, containers, resource quotas, and health supervision.
- Architect OTA feature delivery platforms with manifest management, staged rollout, compatibility gating, rollback, and activation safety checks.
- Develop in-vehicle AI inference frameworks covering model serving middleware, NPU/GPU runtime abstraction, and inference pipelines.
- Lead vehicle-to-cloud integration involving event streaming, vehicle digital twins, and real-time telemetry pipelines.
- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews; mentor SDV application developers; and promote AUTOSAR Adaptive and service-oriented design practices.
- Apply ASPICE Level 2 and Level 3 processes and ISO/SAE 21434 secure-by-design principles across SDV application development.
- Work with automotive SoC platforms from Qualcomm, Renesas, and NXP.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is stated, with the additional information specifying a minimum of 6 years in automotive embedded software and SDV platform development.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Embedded Systems Engineering, with 15 years of full-time education required.
- Advanced C++ proficiency and automotive service-oriented application development experience on AUTOSAR Adaptive or Linux platforms.
- In-depth AUTOSAR Adaptive expertise, including ara::com, SOME/IP, DDS, ara::exec, ara::log, manifest authoring, and deployment configuration.
- Experience architecting microservice-based vehicle applications, including service decomposition, API versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of Vehicle OS concepts, SOAFEE, Eclipse SDV, AGL, container orchestration, Podman, and OCI image management.
- Experience designing OTA-aware applications with staged rollout, rollback, safety controls, and version compatibility.
- Strong test-driven development skills using Google Test, Google Mock, pytest, and CI-integrated automated testing.
- Preferred automotive cybersecurity experience with CERT C++, TLS, mTLS, JWT, and certificate-based authentication.
- Preferred experience with TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, OpenVINO, or TensorFlow Lite on automotive SoCs.
- Preferred knowledge of Eclipse Zenoh or DDS implementations including Fast DDS and Cyclone DDS.
- Preferred familiarity with Eclipse Kuksa, Kuksa.val, Eclipse Leda, or COVESA data brokers.
- Preferred exposure to functional-safety-aware SDV application design, QM versus ASIL designation, and safety tagging in service manifests.
- Understanding of UNECE R156 implications for application-layer OTA feature delivery.
