Responsibilities
- Define ADAS platform reference architectures across SoC platforms, sensor suites, and vehicle programs.
- Lead MBSE adoption and systems engineering strategy for SDV ADAS, including zone controllers, vehicle OS interfaces, and centralized compute migration.
- Govern functional safety, ASIL allocation, SEooC qualification, Dependent Failure Analysis, and SOTIF activities across programs.
- Engage OEM and Tier 1 engineering teams on platform architecture alignment and joint reference architecture development.
- Establish reusable systems engineering intellectual property, including architecture libraries, safety templates, and ICD standards.
- Govern organization-wide ASPICE Level 3 compliance and define improvement plans for Level 4 and Level 5 readiness.
- Develop technical proposals for high-value ADAS systems engineering engagements.
- Build organizational capability through training curricula, a center of excellence, and expert mentoring.
- Contribute to ISO, SAE, and AUTOSAR safety working groups and industry standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience is required, with additional information specifying a minimum of 15 years in ADAS, automotive embedded, or SDV domains.
- Mastery of ADAS systems engineering, including architecture, functional safety management, and requirements engineering.
- Expert experience applying ISO 26262 Parts 3 and 4 and SOTIF/ISO 21448 across multiple production programs.
- Experience defining platform-level ADAS architectures across SoC generations, sensor configurations, and OEM programs.
- Deep MBSE expertise using SysML-based system design and model-driven requirements management in automotive contexts.
- Experience governing ASPICE-compliant systems engineering organizations and driving process improvement.
- Proven ability to work with OEM Chief Engineers and Systems Engineering teams on complex ADAS platform programs.
- Track record delivering systems engineering for high-complexity, high-volume ADAS production programs.
- Preferred experience with ADAS homologation, UNECE R152 and R157 technical dossiers, and type approval processes.
- Preferred knowledge of Common Cause Failure Analysis, Dependent Failure Analysis, federated and zonal EE architectures, SOTIF 2.0 trends, and Responsibility Sensitive Safety.
- BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering, with 15 years of full-time education required.
