Responsibilities

Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale.
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to ensure technical sustainability.
Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes.
Ensure team operations and availability with proper monitoring and support.
Foster a culture of quality and ownership through code review and design standards.
Develop talent on the team by providing feedback and guidance.
Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

8+ years of experience designing and developing backend systems at scale.
Proficiency in languages like Python or Kotlin.
Experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
Experience delivering major features and writing high-quality, maintainable code.
