Responsibilities
- Act as a role model and mentor for other Systems Engineers.
- Provide technical leadership and support alongside SEM.
- Develop an understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making.
- Create social media content such as blogs and posts.
- Connect technology solutions to measurable customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with account managers and partners to enhance customer strategy.
- Refine sales strategy and take command of technical responsibilities.
- Deliver technical leadership on storage products and architectures.
- Conduct presentations and solution demonstrations.
- Capture customer requirements and translate them into innovative solutions.
- Lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Identify new opportunities for testing and validation.
- Liaise with marketing to produce supporting materials.
- Stay updated on competition and market trends.
- Serve as a solution expert in complex calculations.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Pre-sales experience is required.
- Must reside in the Austin, TX area.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
- Experience in enterprise storage, networking, or cloud preferred.
- Creativity, empathy, and a desire for continuous learning.
- Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based solutions.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture is a plus.
- Experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture.
- Previous experience with Linux and NFS file systems.
- Knowledge of VMware, networking, and general computing architectures.
- Curiosity and passion for technology.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, and microservices is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
