Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering Directors, and Principal Architects to create scalable technical roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA on critical engineering initiatives.
- Design and implement Java platform features and services from conception through deployment.
- Define engineering best practices and contribute to technical designs, proposals, and architectural decisions.
- Mentor Staff and Senior engineers, lead technical design reviews, and raise engineering standards across the organization.
- Develop maintainable software with comprehensive test coverage and improve testing and CI/CD strategies.
- Create technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing.
- Use AI coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining security and code quality standards.
- Identify emerging trends and prototype innovations in device security and AI-native development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive software development experience building scalable, high-performance server-side software with Java and Spring.
- Deep expertise in Postgres or MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Extensive experience designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs for large-scale systems.
- Expertise in caching, asynchronous processing, multi-threading, design patterns, scalability patterns, security engineering, and object-oriented principles.
- Experience with agile environments, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
- Deep knowledge of endpoint security concepts, including TPM, Secure Enclave, MDM protocols, and endpoint detection.
- Conceptual understanding of how iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS security features report state to the cloud.
- Proficiency with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
- Experience with anomaly detection or risk systems is preferred.
- Experience with cloud security, identity, authentication protocols, and IAM technologies such as FIDO, U2F, WebAuthn, SSO, SAML, OAuth, and Federation is preferred.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure coding practices, and certifications such as CISSP or Security+ is preferred.
- Experience with ReactJS, gRPC API development, or microservice architecture is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
