Responsibilities
- Embed with warehouse, assembly, and maintenance teams to understand workflows, friction, and platform needs.
- Own platform features end-to-end, including user discovery, design, implementation, testing, peer review, release, and iteration.
- Integrate machines, PLCs, HMIs, and process data into the Manufacturing Operations Platform alongside the automation team.
- Build integrations between internal manufacturing systems and adjacent ERP, MRP, PLM, Workday, and machine-level systems.
- Contribute to the real-time factory model, digital twin, and analytics layer.
- Coordinate with operators, engineers, and program leadership to deliver manufacturing outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on production manufacturing experience.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing operations experience spanning design release, work orders, shop-floor execution, receiving, inventory, and finished products.
- Hands-on exposure to manufacturing software systems such as MES, WMS, ERP, MRP, PLM, quality-management, or maintenance-management systems.
- Direct experience with first-article inspection, in-process inspection, non-conformances, corrective action, and calibration.
- Experience integrating software systems in a manufacturing context, including APIs, data contracts, machine data, or system-to-system connectors.
- Experience leading, coordinating, or supervising teams executing production work.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience in industrial equipment, capital equipment, sheet metal, welding, fabrication, or machining.
- Preferred deep implementation, integration, or configuration experience with manufacturing execution, warehouse, enterprise resource planning, maintenance, or quality systems.
- Preferred exposure to PLCs, HMIs, OPC-UA, MQTT, MTConnect, machine data acquisition, or SCADA.
- Preferred experience shipping software integrations end-to-end and using Git, code review, and merge requests.
- Preferred experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
