$260k - $332k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop high-performance, fault-tolerant, highly available AI Agent backend functionality using Python and Java.
- Design distributed system components and APIs for multimodal AI Agents supporting real-time communication, meeting automation, and intelligent task management.
- Integrate LLM-based capabilities into enterprise collaboration workflows with product managers, designers, and AI researchers.
- Design scalable solutions aligned with Zoom’s architecture standards and data security protocols.
- Mentor global engineering teams on distributed systems, database design, and microservice deployment.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across large-scale cloud-native environments.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, technical roadmaps, and AI Agent Experience product strategy.
- Coordinate engineering standards, integration, and delivery across North American and Asian R&D centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
- At least 3 years of experience with AI Agent architecture, distributed systems, and integration with frontend and AI model services.
- At least 3 years of advanced Python and Java backend development experience, including microservices, API frameworks, and data orchestration pipelines.
- At least 3 years of experience optimizing MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB databases and using Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch middleware.
- At least 3 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes for large-scale deployments.
- At least 3 years of familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex and AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot and Cursor.
- At least 3 years of cross-functional collaboration experience within multinational product teams.
