Senior DevOps Engineer- Atlanta, GA
CoStar GroupResponsibilities
- Apply DevOps principles, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices to support multiple software products.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and related orchestration platforms.
- Support application deployments across cloud and on-premises environments while maintaining availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues across distributed and microservices-based systems.
- Implement and support CI/CD processes and application deployment strategies such as rolling, blue-green, and canary deployments.
- Configure monitoring, observability, content delivery, and traffic-management solutions for production systems.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for production incident response and resolution.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams as an individual contributor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, in-person, not-for-profit university or college.
- 5+ years of experience managing heavy-web-traffic sites using large-scale architecture with a developer focus.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar platforms.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools covering APM, system vitals, synthetics, and RUM.
- Strong scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience configuring content delivery networks for performance caching and global traffic management.
- Familiarity with large-network infrastructure components in cloud and on-premises environments, including systems and network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, and multi-datacenter environments.
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Preferred programming experience with Java, C#, Python, or NodeJS.
- Preferred familiarity with serverless architectures, PCI compliance and remediation, mobile application support for iOS or Android, REST APIs, or microservices development.
- Preferred experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Helm, and Kubernetes observability or package-management tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, time-management, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
