Base Salary
$207k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction for network observability across multiple teams.
- Lead the design of scalable observability solutions using various technologies.
- Drive initiatives to standardize observability patterns and improve signal quality.
- Partner with engineering leadership to prioritize investments and navigate ambiguity.
- Act as a go-to technical expert for observability challenges.
- Mentor junior and senior engineers through technical reviews and problem solving.
- Participate in design discussions and architectural decisions.
- Join a rotating on-call schedule for observability-related issues.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in building flexible network observability solutions.
- Experience as a Network Engineer, SRE, Software Engineer, or Systems Engineer.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and shape technical direction.
- Strong systems thinking and experience designing resilient solutions.
- Proven ability to work across teams and influence without formal authority.
- Proficient with Python, Go, and Bash, and familiar with configuration management tools.
- Comfortable operating solutions in Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and IP networking concepts.
- Practical experience with networking platforms like SONiC and HPE Junos.
- A strong mentorship mindset and history of helping other engineers grow.
