Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Patchman backend infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain product features from design through implementation and testing.
- Investigate complex customer issues and identify root causes in the codebase.
- Operate and maintain dedicated servers, API gateways, load balancers, and internal processing nodes.
- Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery workflows.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Monitor production performance and reliability and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture and technical direction.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a Backend or DevOps Developer.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language.
- Experience designing backend services with knowledge of performance, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
- Strong Linux systems administration skills, including production troubleshooting, process, networking, filesystem, systemd, and log management.
- Experience building and operating high-throughput data pipelines at scale using Apache Kafka, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and in-memory databases such as Redis.
- Understanding of relational, NoSQL, and in-memory key-value storage paradigms.
- Practical experience with Docker and Docker Compose in development and production.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience.
- Experience working with monitoring systems.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices, Git, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
- Strong debugging, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Upper-intermediate spoken and written English.
- Preferred experience with Django and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Salt.
