Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop production-scale AI capabilities, including container execution and complex document generation.
- Build core orchestration and runtime systems for Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Engineer multimodal, real-time, agentic, computer-use, and tool-use systems for enterprise environments.
- Write secure, maintainable, well-tested code and provide insightful reviews that coach other engineers.
- Lead architecture discussions and own tradeoffs involving performance, scalability, resiliency, cost, and disaster recovery.
- Define regression-prevention test strategies covering security invariants and negative cases.
- Drive project and release planning, feature-flag experiments, automated deployment, rollback planning, and capacity planning.
- Serve as an on-call DRI, improve telemetry and observability, lead incident retrospectives, and implement corrective actions.
- Use AI tools across the software development lifecycle while maintaining the quality of generated code and documentation.
- Apply security, privacy, accessibility, compliance, and auditable-evidence requirements by design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud background-check and other applicable Microsoft, customer, or government security-screening requirements.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.
- Experience working end-to-end across planning, design, execution, continuous release, and service operation.
- Experience shipping internet-scale, low-latency, high-throughput AI products.
- Customer-, end-result-, and metrics-driven approach to design and development.
