Base Salary
$100k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, support, and modernize enterprise software applications and services.
- Develop applications primarily with C#/.NET, SQL Server, Azure, APIs, and related technologies.
- Design APIs, reusable services, integrations, data models, and platform capabilities.
- Build rapid prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions that can evolve into production software.
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic development tools for research, development, testing, debugging, documentation, modernization, and delivery.
- Direct coding agents, evaluate generated solutions, and ensure all software meets standards for correctness, security, maintainability, performance, testing, and observability.
- Collaborate with product, business, architecture, engineering, QA, DevOps, and business analyst stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering production enterprise applications.
- Advanced proficiency with C# and .NET and strong knowledge of the Microsoft development ecosystem.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL experience, including data modeling, query design, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, consuming, and maintaining RESTful APIs and distributed application services.
- Experience building and operating applications in Microsoft Azure or a comparable public cloud.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, and technical tradeoffs.
- Experience with source control, branching strategies, pull requests, automated builds, CI/CD, and modern software delivery.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants, coding agents, or agentic development tools.
- Ability to evaluate software for readability, maintainability, performance, security, testability, and operational reliability.
- Preferred experience with Python, JavaScript, Angular, and/or TypeScript.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include 8+ years of relevant experience, regulated-industry experience, mortgage or financial-services experience, enterprise modernization, cloud-native transitions, and AI-enabled application development.
