Base Salary
$108k - $228k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain responsive React front-end applications that visualize complex real-time data for external partners.
- Build and maintain scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js, Python with FastAPI or Flask, or Java with Spring Boot.
- Implement OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, RBAC, and other authentication and authorization patterns for secure external data access.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis data-store interactions.
- Containerize applications with Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes on AWS in coordination with the DevSecOps team.
- Ensure code meets DISA STIG requirements and addresses the OWASP Top 10 throughout the development lifecycle.
- Integrate GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Helm charts for multi-environment deployment.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance to junior developers, and serve as the subject matter expert for third-party API integration.
- Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and integration guides.
Requirements
- Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
- At least 5 years of mid-level or 10 years of senior-level full-stack software engineering experience is required.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, including Redux and Context API, is required.
- Strong experience building APIs with Node.js, Python using FastAPI or Flask, or Java using Spring Boot is required.
- Proficiency with Docker, including Dockerfiles, hardened images, and CI/CD integration, is required.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Helm, and Kubernetes deployment is required.
- Experience with D3.js or Recharts, GraphQL federation, advanced API design, AWS services, OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS, OWASP, STIG-compliant development, Elasticsearch optimization, or RHEL 9 hardening is desired.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Developer Associate, CKAD, or CompTIA Security+ are desired.
- Ability to work in an agile, distributed team environment and travel as required.
