Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate secure software and cloud infrastructure.
- Build production services using object-oriented design, service-oriented or microservice architectures, APIs, databases, asynchronous processing, and containerized workloads.
- Deliver automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing through a CI/CD pipeline.
- Operate production services with logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident triage, and resiliency practices.
- Own ambiguous problems through design, implementation, and release while decomposing work and raising team engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements, architecture, and technology direction.
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring, hiring and interview loops, and iterative delivery practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 2 years of experience, a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience, or 12 years of related experience with no degree.
- Professional experience designing, building, and maintaining production software in a modern object-oriented language.
- Strong object-oriented design fundamentals, including encapsulation, composition, interface design, SOLID, dependency injection, and design patterns.
- Experience with service-oriented or microservice architectures, API design and compatibility, distributed failure modes, relational databases, asynchronous processing, public cloud environments, containerized workloads, and production observability.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, production support, and Agile or iterative delivery.
- Preferred experience includes C# and .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, AWS, Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Docker, and distributed-system patterns.
- Preferred experience includes performance and scalability work, feature flags, progressive delivery, static analysis, security scanning, legacy modernization, vendor API integrations, multi-tenant SaaS, resiliency exercises, mentoring, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and pass a pre-employment drug test.
