Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and debug game technologies across multiple platforms and domains.
  • Develop scalable game features, creation pipelines, runtime functionality, and foundation-layer systems.
  • Integrate technologies with game teams and domain owners across rendering, gameplay, audio, UI, online, physics, databases, and tools.
  • Optimize frame rates and load times and analyze their impact throughout the development cycle.
  • Provide technical feedback, guidance, and solutions for system improvements and optimization.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in C++ software development.
  • Proficiency integrating and maintaining large-scale systems across multiple domains.
  • Understanding of memory management, multiprocessor use, and runtime optimization.
  • Knowledge of assembler, Python, Lua, and C#.
  • Experience with third-party APIs and debugging complex applications.
  • Strong understanding of geometry, linear algebra, calculus, and physics as applied to transformations and motions in 3D space.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
  • Knowledge of job-based architectures is beneficial.
  • Experience with Xbox, PlayStation, mobile, PC, or cloud-based games and graphics libraries such as DirectX, OpenGL, or Metal is beneficial but not required.

  • British Columbia compensation range of $141,400–$204,400 CAD per year, depending on location.
  • Three weeks of vacation per year to start and 10 days of sick time annually.
