Responsibilities
- Oversee all technical aspects of the authorization layer supporting the global application and more than 70 mission-critical servicing applications.
- Implement the Point of Arrival authorization layer and deliver features and enhancements for the global registration portfolio.
- Drive a priority compliance initiative for the organization.
- Design and develop distributed, scalable, performant, and secure systems.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, set technical direction, and drive execution across multiple initiatives.
- Implement authentication and authorization flows within enterprise-scale applications.
- Collaborate with product, design, and information security teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience or comparable experience.
- Broad engineering experience and proven experience leading teams of engineers.
- Hands-on expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Experience with distributed multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or a related field, or related experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Deep understanding of authorization domains and standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- At least 7 years of Java experience, 3 years of React experience, and 2 years of relational database management system experience.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
- Experience with authentication and authorization flows, database migrations, and cloud environments is desirable.
- FinTech or banking domain knowledge and familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines are desirable.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams are required.
