Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy Salesforce customizations using Apex, triggers, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Process Automations.
- Translate sales business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions in partnership with stakeholders, product owners, and business analysts.
- Own and enhance Salesforce Sales Cloud capabilities including account, contact, opportunity, lead, territory, and forecasting functionality.
- Develop and manage integrations between Salesforce and enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware.
- Lead code reviews and uphold engineering, security, performance, and clean-code standards.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline management, deployment processes, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and Salesforce release evaluation.
- Identify technical debt, performance gaps, platform risks, and operational improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, entity-relationship diagrams, and deployment guides.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and guide adoption of Salesforce engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of Salesforce development experience with a strong hands-on track record.
- Proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flow, and Process Builder.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and core sales business processes.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, or middleware such as MuleSoft or Dell Boomi.
- Understanding of the Salesforce security model, including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Familiarity with Salesforce DX, Git, version control, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
- Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Knowledge of software and systems engineering, application architecture, integration patterns, testing, debugging, performance, reliability, scalability, secure design, observability, and production support.
- Ability to lead complex engineering work independently, influence technical direction, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Platform Developer II, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Salesforce Application Architect certification; Copado, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins experience; healthcare or life sciences experience; Salesforce Shield or Event Monitoring exposure; and experience with Data Loader or Informatica.
