Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform capabilities using Kubernetes-native patterns and event-driven architectures.
- Build reusable abstractions and self-service workflows for internal users.
- Develop Kubernetes controllers and operators in Go to automate infrastructure and application lifecycle management.
- Mentor engineers and promote platform engineering practices across Data and ML Platform teams.
- Collaborate across teams on platform interfaces, abstractions, and shared infrastructure patterns.
- Support hiring and help establish standards for code quality and collaboration.
Requirements
- Strong experience building cloud-native platforms on AWS, GCP, or Azure and hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Go for building backend services, command-line interfaces, or Kubernetes controllers and operators.
- Experience with GitOps and automated delivery pipelines.
- Understanding of distributed systems and experience designing scalable, resilient architectures.
- Experience building self-service platforms or internal developer platforms.
- Strong focus on developer experience, usability, and effective abstractions.
- Clear communication and effective cross-team collaboration.
- Nice to have: experience with streaming, batch processing, and large data storage systems.
