Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Telnyx engineering teams.
- Debug production issues across gateway, authentication, network, and application layers.
- Collaborate with engineers across the company to build large-scale internal and external features.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, processes, observability, and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience with an object-oriented or functional programming language, preferably Elixir.
- Appreciation for functional programming and a strong desire to become an expert Elixir programmer.
- Experience working with relational databases at scale.
- Understanding of concurrent and distributed programming challenges.
- Deep knowledge of microservices architecture patterns and anti-patterns.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, Prometheus, Grafana, and/or RabbitMQ.
- Bonus experience building or operating customer-facing APIs, gateways, authentication systems, or internal platforms.
- Bonus experience with Envoy.
