Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Overhaul the email and calendar sync engine for improved performance and reliability.
- Expand voice agent capabilities for live conversations.
- Develop solutions for inbound call handling and routing.
- Build native scheduling features within the Close platform.
- Design systems for human orchestration of agentic workflows.
- Enhance connect and answer rates through telephony improvements.
- Advance the streaming and event infrastructure using technologies like Kafka and Redis.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a backend engineer with proficiency in Python and familiarity with Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Deep knowledge of email and calendar platforms, including IMAP and sync protocols.
- Experience with real-time and async distributed systems such as WebRTC and WebSockets.
- Familiarity with AI applications in real-time workflows, including live transcription and voice agents.
- Ability to navigate complex telephony systems and edge cases.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance coding and workflow efficiency.
