Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend software and services, primarily using Python.
- Use Azure Functions, App Services, storage, and identity capabilities to build reliable cloud solutions.
- Design APIs and integrate backend components with internal and customer-facing platforms.
- Deliver maintainable, secure, and production-ready backend solutions using sound software engineering practices.
- Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues across services and cloud workloads.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve the efficiency, resilience, and observability of backend systems.
- Work independently and collaboratively across the company, including presenting work to colleagues.
Requirements
- Citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states.
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- High proficiency in professional Python and/or C# development.
- Understanding of software reusability, maintainability, security, and testing best practices.
- Thorough understanding of computer systems, including operating systems, networking, and infrastructure.
- Azure-native development, API design, and cloud-based architecture experience is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and perform under occasional pressure.
