Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated outputs.
- Use software development lifecycle tools and approved automation capabilities to improve engineering outcomes at scale.
- Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide software development frameworks, tools, and practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security controls in engineering workflows.
- Ability to solve design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred: strong understanding of Java concepts and advanced Java and JavaScript programming.
- Preferred: proficiency with frontend frameworks such as ReactJS.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
