Base Salary
$143k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term technical strategy for service-to-service authentication and align it with organizational goals.
- Translate strategy into execution plans and drive consensus and delivery across engineering teams, partner organizations, customers, and leadership.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship through architecture, design leadership, code reviews, and hands-on coding.
- Drive platform-level engineering fundamentals and address systemic risks involving performance, scale, resilience, testability, and security.
- Lead adoption of AI-driven tools and shape AI agents that automate operational and engineering workflows.
- Own live-site excellence by participating in high-severity on-call events and driving improvements through pre-mortems and post-mortems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- 6+ years of experience designing and implementing features for high-scale distributed cloud services.
- 3+ years of experience as a technical lead driving strategic decisions and high-impact technical outcomes.
- Preferred: 3+ years of technical leadership defining and building developer experiences and scalable systems, preferably in Generative AI or Machine Learning.
- Preferred: 2+ years of hands-on experience designing SDKs or client-side frameworks, with focus on performance, latency, and resource efficiency.
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts across distributed teams and delivering customer-facing software or platform capabilities in production.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to build AI systems, make tradeoff decisions, drive systemic improvements, communicate clearly, and influence without authority.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
