Base Salary
$150k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple engineering teams and product verticals.
- Design and build software using .NET/C#, Microsoft Azure, APIs, web applications, integrations, mobile applications, and supporting data platforms.
- Conduct code and design reviews and establish standards for software design, testing, observability, resiliency, security, and cloud-native development.
- Improve Azure solutions, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release quality, environment consistency, monitoring, and incident prevention.
- Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, architectural, and production issues.
- Mentor software engineers and senior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, pairing, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
- Drive legacy modernization, refactoring, reusable APIs, shared services, and technical-debt remediation.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders on technical discovery, estimates, dependencies, risks, and delivery planning using Azure DevOps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant professional software engineering experience with progression into senior technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET and C# application development.
- Strong experience developing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Experience designing APIs, integrations, distributed applications, and enterprise software systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and modern engineering practices.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern deployment practices.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, relational data modeling, and application performance.
- Experience troubleshooting complex production applications and distributed systems.
- Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams without direct reporting authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred experience includes policy administration, claims, insurance, financial services, regulated enterprise platforms, legacy .NET modernization, Microsoft Dynamics, modern front-end frameworks, native iOS or Android applications, reusable integration platforms, observability, reliability engineering, production support, and distributed or offshore engineering teams.
