Responsibilities
- Lead projects with engineering and product teams to scope requirements and create design and technical specifications.
- Architect and design implementations for highly scalable web applications.
- Define and implement API specifications in collaboration with service teams.
- Write, maintain, standardize, and enforce code quality through test-driven development.
- Document implementations and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
- Recommend improvements to development, coding, maintenance, and system standards.
- Identify root causes and drive solutions to complex architectural and application problems.
- Mentor senior developers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, technical leadership, and constructive feedback.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building highly scalable and performant web applications serving millions of users and requests.
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience architecting sophisticated technical changes and gaining consensus for solutions.
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Proven ability to define and implement API specifications while collaborating with service teams.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and drive complex problem resolution.
- Ability to support and mentor senior developers.
- Preferred experience shipping production-level React/Node.js applications with high availability and throughput on cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Expert understanding of web accessibility fundamentals and broad knowledge of web standards and emerging technologies.
