Responsibilities
- Build and improve extensible, maintainable tools for onboarding new sports and data formats.
- Own frontend architecture, UI decisions, component design, reusability, and scalability.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Java/Spring Boot or similar technologies.
- Collaborate with product, content operations, and backend teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Drive technical direction, system design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
- Lead modernization and improvement of existing tooling.
- Mentor and guide team members while fostering a collaborative learning culture.
- Own system reliability, including production incidents, post-mortems, and root-cause analysis.
- Write unit-tested code and regression tests as part of standard development practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong frontend skills with ownership of frontend architecture and expertise in Angular and modern frontend patterns.
- Ability to build reusable, scalable UI components across different contexts.
- Solid backend experience with Java/Spring Boot or similar technologies.
- Understanding of concurrency challenges, SQL and NoSQL databases, system design, and software architecture.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating cross-functionally in English.
- B.E., B.Tech, BCA, or MCA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Preferred: experience with design systems or component libraries, React, application modernization or migration, Cypress, Playwright, Jest, AWS, NgRx, Redux, CI/CD pipelines, APIs, JSON, and XML.
- An affinity with sports is preferred.
