Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java full stack software solutions.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, estimate work, and drive design discussions.
- Develop unit tests and automated functional and non-functional tests while participating in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance, heap, security, and customer issues.
- Analyze systems and recommend changes to improve operations and software quality.
- Mentor team members, conduct training, interview candidates, and onboard new employees.
- Lead technical decisions for complex requirements by researching options and recommending solutions.
- Collaborate with customer technical teams and global, cross-functional teams.
- Understand and support deployment of cloud-based systems.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, or a master’s degree in a related field.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Java software design and development.
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and enterprise application development.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services, integration technologies, XML-related standards, JSON, SAML, and SSO.
- Experience with databases including Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, plus SQL and PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, container orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, horizontal scaling, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with messaging tools such as WebSphere MQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Experience with unit testing, automated testing, code quality tools, troubleshooting, JVM concepts, profiling, and security scanning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred knowledge of banking or financial services and reporting tools such as Jasper, Open BIRT, Actuate, or Crystal Reports.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; AWS certification is a plus.
- Fluency in English and the ability to communicate technical and commercial solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
