Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data services that ingest, enrich, and publish live sports event, broadcast, and associated content data.
- Build distributed systems supporting high-volume, low-latency live sports experiences before, during, and after broadcasts.
- Develop tooling and automation to improve live event publishing efficiency, visibility, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product management, content operations, and downstream distribution teams to improve sports discovery and viewing.
- Train teammates on the team’s software, architecture, testing, operations, and broader system context.
- Identify operational improvements and champion software engineering practices including design, testing, and monitoring.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
