Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, unit test, and document large, complex software applications.
- Collaborate on technical implementation and support developers and consultants with implementation and development.
- Own complex and ambiguous problems and drive end-to-end solutions.
- Make architectural and design decisions that support scalability and maintainability.
- Develop technical aspects of eCommerce stores, including commerce, content, and external-system integrations.
- Mentor junior team members through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams and contribute to technical planning.
- Identify technical risks and propose improvements across the codebase and development processes.
- Troubleshoot complex and escalated incidents.
- Monitor emerging software-engineering technologies and recommend or validate new ideas.
Requirements
- 3.5–5 years of hands-on experience in Java application development is required.
- Graduation is required.
- Strong development skills in Java 11 or above, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, design principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with logging frameworks such as SLF4J, Logback, or Log4j.
- Experience writing JUnit test cases using Mockito or PowerMock.
- Understanding of exception handling, serialization/deserialization, immutability, enums, collections, annotations, generics, and autoboxing.
- Experience with multithreading, the concurrent package, concurrent APIs, and Java memory-management and garbage-collection concepts.
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases and writing SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience creating and consuming RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with SonarQube and code-management tools.
- Hands-on experience with caching mechanisms.
