Responsibilities
- Lead projects or systems and coordinate the activities of other engineers.
- Determine the technical tasks and direction followed by other engineers.
- Improve existing engineering structures and processes.
- Reconcile time, quality, complexity, and risk priorities to identify effective solutions.
- Identify recurring patterns and create generalized solutions.
- Collaborate with management to establish and improve engineering standards.
- Represent PayPal in interactions with partners, customers, and industry organizations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to make technical decisions and lead engineering activities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and improve engineering rigor and processes.
