Responsibilities
- Build cloud-based, event-driven software systems with high availability, scalability, and resilience.
- Develop infrastructure supporting data pipelines, storage, and APIs that provide reliable data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with data scientists to build machine learning pipelines.
- Contribute across the software lifecycle, including architecture, development, functional and performance testing, documentation, and design verification.
- Automate manual processes and optimize data delivery and software infrastructure for scalability, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and promote software quality, testing, and development and deployment best practices.
- Participate in production on-call rotation when required and protect client data confidentiality and security.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Kotlin, Java, and Golang.
- Experience with message brokers, queues, and buses such as Kafka, Azure Service Bus, and ZeroMQ.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
- Familiarity with modern software testing tools and equipment.
- Strong frontend development exposure.
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5–8 years of related experience, a master’s degree and 2–5 years of equivalent experience, or a PhD and 0–2 years of experience.
