Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture for customer and partner implementation and advisory engagements.
  • Evaluate business and technical requirements and design scalable Salesforce and enterprise solutions.
  • Coordinate and align the work of multiple architects across an engagement.
  • Guide project vision, implementation approaches, solution evaluations, and key project artifacts.
  • Collaborate with project and engagement managers on planning and implementation.
  • Engage executives, account teams, engineering, and product management to manage issues and direction.
  • Perform application configuration and solution implementation when required.
  • Mentor customers, partners, and colleagues on technical delivery and communication topics.
  • Contribute to internal innovation, strategic initiatives, knowledge sharing, and team development.
  • Support pre-sales activities to position Salesforce Services.
  • Participate in regional travel and community volunteering activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Hands-on technical consulting and solution implementation experience in a major software domain such as CRM, ERP, or HR.
  • Coding experience in object-oriented languages.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes through technology and integration.
  • Experience guiding customers and project members in deploying emerging technology for business use cases.
  • Ability to work independently and within a distributed team while taking ownership of problems.
  • Strong ability to learn new technologies, present, communicate, and facilitate discussions.
  • Understanding of web services, data modeling, enterprise application integration, and integration design patterns.
  • Experience with enterprise integration tools such as ESBs or ETL tools and enterprise systems such as CMS, ERP, HRIS, and DWH/DM.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, mid-level leaders, and key decision makers.
  • Preferred experience as a Senior Architect or CTO leading organizational transformation in a mid-to-large matrixed organization.
  • Preferred experience defining and delivering enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform, including coded solutions.
  • Experience may also be demonstrated through extracurricular leadership, military experience, or volunteer work.
