Responsibilities

Own and contribute to architecture and development of enterprise Java applications.
Provide technical guidance on design and implementation across distributed delivery teams.
Develop client- and server-side applications using Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly.
Modernize legacy forensic systems, modularize applications, and develop new platforms.
Design and optimize backend services, data models, and high-performance processing logic.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and automated build, deployment, and release processes.
Ensure code quality, test coverage, performance, scalability, production stability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, architecture, business, and IT stakeholders.
Support team mobilization, onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer across distributed teams.

At least 10 years of experience in enterprise Java development and DevOps practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in software architecture and hands-on development.
Strong experience with Java 11/17, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, PostgreSQL, and WildFly.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, JPQL/CriteriaBuilder, Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Maven, and Eclipse Tycho.
Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, Clean Code, modularization, legacy-system evolution, and enterprise architecture.
Experience working in regulated or complex operational environments such as forensics or LIMS is preferred.
Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, flexibility, teamwork, and customer-service orientation.

Hybrid Bengaluru work arrangement with three days in the office.
Collaboration with UK, European, nearshore, and offshore delivery centers.
Opportunity to build software supporting forensic investigations, DNA analysis, criminal justice, and public safety.
Performance management includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews, and annual reviews.
