Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, performant, and secure software and data platform solutions.
- Develop large-scale data engineering solutions using Python and PySpark.
- Design and deploy cloud-native data solutions using AWS cloud services.
- Build and maintain data warehouses, SQL solutions, data models, and ETL processes.
- Spearhead the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support reliable digital solution delivery.
- Lead platform stability, resiliency, production support, technical upgrades, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, stakeholders, and leadership teams to define requirements and align solutions with business objectives.
- Guide technical direction, lead complex assignments, and train, guide, and coach less experienced specialists.
- Manage and mitigate risks, strengthen controls, and contribute to strategic technology and business decisions.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and implement effective unit testing practices.
Requirements
- Expert Python and PySpark development experience for large-scale data engineering solutions.
- Hands-on AWS data platform expertise supporting the design and deployment of cloud-native data solutions.
- Strong experience with data warehousing, SQL, data modeling, and ETL; Informatica is preferred.
- Experience leading platform stability, resiliency, production support, technical upgrades, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Knowledge of BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI, QlikView, or Tableau is valued.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automation is valued.
- Experience with Databricks and Snowflake is valued.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services is valued.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, advise senior stakeholders, manage risk and controls, and guide less experienced specialists.
