Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable Java applications and services.
- Write maintainable Java code and lead code reviews focused on quality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps teams, and cross-functional stakeholders on scalable solutions.
- Analyze, refactor, and modernize legacy systems and applications.
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering excellence.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, build automation, deployment strategies, observability, and automation.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and lead production support efforts.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design and develop APIs aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Contribute to technical decisions, solution design discussions, roadmap planning, and Agile client delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, platform development, or distributed systems; the Consultant qualification section specifies 3+ years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, object-oriented programming, advanced design patterns, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
- Expertise with JPA/Hibernate, JDBC, and relational SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, and Maven or Gradle.
- Experience debugging, tuning performance, and solving problems in complex systems.
- Experience with Docker, containerization, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of scalability, distributed systems, and system integration patterns.
- Exposure to automation, AI/ML integration concepts, or modern engineering trends is advantageous.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, influencing, and client-facing skills.
- Professional qualifications listed include B.E., B.Tech, MCA, MBA, or MS.
